Bay Area 2009
A rare photo of me actually agreeing to pose. I like being behind the camera so much better.

Where might this lead to?

I love it when they take a tree and show historical events based on the tree rings.

909 AD! It is quite difficult to wrap one's brain at the longevity of these trees.

I'm just glad I wasn't the one having to count up all these tree rings!

An interesting-looking bus. Notice the old VW van on top. There were surfboards, bikes, musical instruments, etc. on this bus

Now this is the way to travel in style!

View of the Golden Gate Bridge from Fort Baker. The fog made it impossible to see the other end of the bridge.

My favorite photo from Fort Baker.

Fort Baker is part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area (GGNRA).

Carl Sandburg once wrote that the "Fog comes on little cat feet." Yeah right! It was quite windy and cold with the fog roiling in like a hungry bear hunting salmon at the river.

A one-way tunnel to the Marin Headlands. And yes, I was driving while taking this photo. My cousin was holding the steering wheel to make sure we didn't crash into the walls. This photo has the same feeling as when you first sit down at Disney's Space Mountain.

I love the light trails on this one.

Tomales Bay as seen from the Mt. Vision road. This road is a narrow and winding road. There is only room for one car and there isn't much room on either side to pullout in case another is coming in the opposite direction. Good thing it was fairly deserted. We only saw three or four other cars up here. We were going to do a short hike but my cousin wasn't feeling well, there were too many bugs, and it was hot up here. Swatting at bugs is not my idea of a fun hike.
