Bay Area 2009
Road trip with my cousin to the Bay Area taken July 14-18, 2009. We visited Point Reyes National Seashore, Muir Woods, and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The drive up the 101 North was pretty uneventful other than we kept going from one temperature extreme to the other. Sometimes it would be 50 F because we were right next to the coast and then it would be 100 F an hour later as we were more inland. Lanie and I had a great time exploring this area.

According the the NPS website, this place was "established in 1858, the renovated Pierce Point Ranch is one of the oldest ranches on the Point Reyes Peninsula and was one of the most successful dairy ranches of its time. It is representative of the agricultural heritage of this area." As usual, by mid-afternoon, the fog was in full force. But it did give an almost ghostly aura to the ranch.
